Ting-a-ling
The handwriting on the original recipe looks like mine; I remember making these as a when I was still in grade school. It’s a no-cook recipe perfect for kids. 4 cups Chow Mein noodles
The original recipe says: a 39 cent Hershey bar. (I checked and today, a large, 6 ounce bar is $1.99—is that inflation or what? ) You could also use 1/2 package (12 ounce) of chocolate chips .
Melt chocolate in top of double boiler over medium heat in a pan large enough to hold Chow Mein noodles. When chocolate is melted, add chow mein noodles, stir till they are coated. Drop from tablespoon onto a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper. Don’t lick fingers until you are finished. Chill.
