Mom’s Chocolate Sauce

Note from Marm: I made this recently and decreased the amount of sugar to 1/2 cup; it was still pretty sweet.

1 T. butter 1 square baking chocolate

2 T. white Karo syrup

1/2 cup water

Melt all ingredients over medium heat until it starts to boil and thickens.

Mix 7/8 cup of sugar with 2 T. flour, mix flour and sugar well. Add to chocolate mixture and let boil by itself (don’t stir) for about 15 minutes.
